McNeese State University! A public university located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. McNeese is the university of choice for almost 9,000 students. Your experience at McNeese University is shaped by the many academic and social experiences you choose along the way. The university offers 83 degree programs under te Colleges of Business, Education, Engineering and Technology, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Science, the Division of General and Basic Studies and the Dor'e School of Graduate Studies.

McNeese State University school colors are blue and gold. The men's athletic teams are known as the Cowboys and the women's athletic teams are known as the Cowgirls. McNeese teams compete in 16 NCAA men's and women's teams. The Cowboys and Cowgirls have won more than 30 conference championships in addition to 2 trips to the football national championship.
